Driving without a license can be costly. It can not only put other motorists at risk, but it can lead to very serious legal consequences. So can failing to pay attention while driving, particularly while attempting to make a left turn. Left turns often require a driver to yield to oncoming traffic, and it can lead to a fatal accident if a driver isn’t paying attention.

A motorcyclist was killed in Leimert Park last night after an unlicensed driver apparently failed to yield while attempting to turn left, colliding with him. According to the Contra Costa Times, the accident happened at the intersection of South Normandie Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
