A lot of us have probably asked the question of an elderly relative at some point: At one point should they stop driving? And if they should stop, will merely asking them work? There are a lot of issues that come up. But one thing is for certain: When elderly drivers get behind the wheel when they shouldn’t, fatal car or pedestrian accidents can result.

In Burbank last week, a well-known 101-year-old man was crossing the street when he was struck by the 91-year-old driver of a sedan. Sadly, he suffered serious injuries and later died at a local hospital, according to a police spokesman.
