On behalf of Law Offices of Elia J. Castranova posted in car accidents on Wednesday, February 13, 2013
A hit-and-run crash took the life of a California man in a wheelchair earlier this month when he attempted to cross the street. The car accident took place in Pico Rivera on the 8200 block of Whittier Boulevard. Deputies arriving at the scene found the man, whose identity has was not released, lying in the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was apparently confined to a wheelchair and appeared to be attempting to cross the road at the time of the crash.
Authorities have described the suspect’s vehicle as a gray Mitsubishi. They noted that the car would have sustained serious front-end damage and may even have missing components due to the crash. Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
